About the role

Our client is a small, niche specialist company within geotechnics and impact testing of piles. You will join a tight-knit team with high competence in measurement technology, united by a strong drive and business acumen as they act as a support function for the contracting industry. They work in an open-plan office where they always help each other and bounce ideas off one another. This is a company with low staff turnover – people enjoy working here and stay for a long time!

Their daily routine is largely governed by availability and high service quality towards their customers. They are ready at their computers with headsets on when contractors call from the field; it is a close collaboration where contractors perform the actual tests and you will analyze the results. Working hours are therefore fixed (08:00–16:30) to ensure availability for support exactly when it is needed most.

Responsibilities

• Receive signals and measure the force play in piles via computer when pile contractors call in from construction sites
• Maintain ongoing contact with skilled workers and site management in the field, and discuss results with designers if corrections are needed
• Evaluate individual piles as well as the overall structure, and compile technical reports
• Be responsible for and keep track of the company's rented measuring instruments and equipment

We are looking for someone who

• Has completed post-secondary education in construction technology or civil engineering
• Has a basic understanding of the construction industry and contracting culture
• Is fluent in Swedish and has very good knowledge of English, as both languages are used in daily work
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B)
