Job Description

As an NC Programmer, you are responsible within a team for creating new and developing existing NC programs for turning and milling. This includes setup, method selection, tool selection, and identifying the need for new technologies. We use Siemens NX as our programming tool and Vericut for simulation, verification, and optimization of ISO code. Most of our production drawings and instructions, as well as CNC programs, are programmed based on 3D models. We use Teamcenter for storing documentation and programs. Quality and robustness are of utmost importance, which we achieve together with production technicians and operators. In the team, your competence will have a significant impact on GKN and our future competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Academic bachelor's degree, university studies, or equivalent knowledge gained through experience. • Knowledge and experience in machining. • Machine familiarity from turning and milling. • Good understanding of production flow and quality outcomes. • Team player with a winning mindset! • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Who are you?

The work involves many contacts, so flexibility and good collaboration skills are important. It is a plus if you have previous experience with NC programming or experience working with the NX software.
