The maternity ward offers an stimulating and varied work environment where we work in teams to provide secure and person-centered care. Breastfeeding and support in the parental role are central parts of our operations, and together we make a difference for our patients and their families.
Your workplace
Women's health services is a proud HBTQI-certified operation where we jointly provide both outpatient and inpatient care within obstetrics and gynecology. At Värmland's only delivery ward, approximately 2,300 babies are born each year, and all deliveries from gestational week 28+0 are handled there.
On the maternity ward, we care for families where the newly delivered mother and/or the child needs inpatient care. Our goal is zero separation of the family, and we have close collaboration with the neonatal department to enable joint care for mother and child. Pregnant women with medical complications are also cared for on the ward.
We value each employee's unique competence and experience and strive to create a work environment where everyone feels appreciated, involved, and supported. Together, we contribute to secure and high-quality care for our patients and their families.
