About the job

As an ophthalmologist at the eye clinic in Kungsbacka/Halmstad, you need to have broad competence in general ophthalmology. Here you will work in a team-based manner together with several different professions, for example ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, and optometrists.

The job includes clinic work and routine administrative tasks such as medical record keeping, reviewing images, sick leave certificates, and prescription writing.

We determine the extent of employment together, and working hours are scheduled on weekdays during daytime. In Halmstad, you are part of our standby line for Halland as the on-call duty is located in Halmstad. As an employee in Kungsbacka, you now have the opportunity to be part of the standby team as we have a 2-hour response time to our emergency operations.

About the workplace

Eye Clinic Halland has three service points with clinics in Kungsbacka, Halmstad, and Varberg.

The Eye Clinic in Halland continues to grow, as does the mission to our Halland residents within specialized eye care. We need to increase our numbers to continue having high availability for our patients in Halland.

Among us, there is high competence among our doctors, ophthalmic nurses, nursing assistants, optometrists, orthoptists, and medical secretaries. This contributes to a fine and close relationship between all professional groups, which in turn generates a good and developing work climate.

Of course, we actively work on improvement projects both locally at the clinic and as a whole at Eye Clinic Halland. Here we want you to join us in our continued work forward so that we can become even better and stay at the forefront!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a specialist physician/attending physician and are secure in your professional role, with a few years of experience in general ophthalmology. Competence in cataract surgery is meritorious.

To thrive in the role, you need to enjoy working in a team, and independently you see it as a matter of course to have a good attitude towards both patients and colleagues. Therefore, it is important that you are communicative and have good skills in expressing yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. You have the will and drive to influence the development within ophthalmology both in the short and long term.
