About the Company

FLIR TransponderTech develops advanced communication and navigation systems for maritime and military use. Their certified products, such as AIS, VDES, and GNSS, contribute to increased safety and efficiency at sea by enabling the sharing of information regarding vessel position, movement, and speed. The systems are used by both commercial shipping, the Coast Guard, and military fleets.

FLIR TransponderTech is now looking for an engaged and driven consultant to join their purchasing team. The assignment is primarily linked to operational work but may also include some work at a tactical and strategic level.

You will work closely with an engaged and goal-oriented team of approximately 50 employees at FLIR TransponderTech's office in Hackefors, Linköping. The assignment is placed in the team that forms the core of the company's operational activities. The team consists of approximately 12 employees responsible for the entire flow – from purchasing and production planning to logistics, export control, customer order handling, deliveries, production, and customer support.

Your Responsibilities

• Have operational responsibility for a number of suppliers.
• Participate in the work with overall purchasing and forecasting plans together with other purchasers and the sales and development department.
• Drive purchasing and logistics issues in development projects and during product changes.
• Contribute to supplier follow-ups together with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Continuously contribute to process development and improvements within the area of responsibility.

Your Profile

To succeed in the role, we see that you have the following:

• Experience within logistics and purchasing.
• Ability to structure and analyze data.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and business systems (FLIR TransponderTech uses Monitor).
• Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing.

It is considered meritorious if you have previous experience in electronics manufacturing, EN9100, international supply chains, as well as strategic purchasing.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to current security clearance regulations.
