About the role
We are currently looking for a Project Engineer-Communicator for a comprehensive and socially important infrastructure project at a government agency that needs to strengthen its organization. As a communicator, you will work both strategically and operationally to develop messages, produce content, select channels, and evaluate effects. The communication work aims to facilitate the project's implementation, and you will be responsible for planning, driving, and executing communication initiatives that contribute to the project's progress and goal achievement.
The communication function supports the organization in communicating professionally, creating understanding of the agency's work, and includes both internal and external communication efforts.
The role also includes the following tasks:
- Support ongoing communication activities
- Plan, produce, execute, and follow up on communication initiatives
- Create material for internal and external channels
- Work with printed and digital distributions
- Produce information and presentation materials
- Plan and execute events, such as consultations
- Handle photography and film for communication purposes
- Drive and coordinate press activities
- Participate in study visits, information meetings, and other activities directed at the public and stakeholders
- Receive and respond to feedback from the public
- Identify and handle communicative challenges and opportunities
Duration and scope
This is a full-time consultancy position starting on 2026-08-10 and is expected to run until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension.
The work is based at the agency's office in Malmö from the start of the assignment until August 31, 2026. Thereafter, the placement moves to the agency's office in Lund.
Requirements for the role:
- University degree in media and communication or equivalent, and at least three (3) years of work experience in a similar role. Alternatively, upper secondary education or equivalent plus five (5) years of work experience as a communicator.
- Knowledge of digital communication and social media.
- Knowledge of brand building.
- Good skills in MS Office or equivalent.
- Good skills in editing tools (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and web publishing tools (e.g., Episerver, Sitevision).
- Ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of clear language (klarspråk).
- Category B driver's license (some travel and site visits are included in the role).
- Reference assignments that demonstrate experience in similar roles.

Merits for the role
- Experience in planning, production, execution, and follow-up of communication.
- Experience in writing and tailoring content for different channels, such as social media, newsletters, and websites.
- Professional experience in web publishing and knowledge of the web publishing tool Optimizely.
- Experience working in other government agencies or public sector organizations.
About you
We are looking for a person with strong self-drive who collaborates well and has no problem performing administrative tasks. You are structured and self-motivated, with good abilities to plan, produce, and deliver. You are good at building relationships, creating trust, and functioning well in a team.
