In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and every student has access to their own computer as support in teaching. Björksätraskolan is a F-9 school with nearly 700 students, where approximately 380 students are in grades 7–9. We are a proud part of the Southern Primary School Area together with Jernvallsskolan F–6 and Sätra skola F–6. The area has a common principal and seven engaged deputy principals who together lead the work forward with a focus on quality and development.

Here you meet a school that is both accessible and close to nature. Good communications, forest, and nature right outside the window, and several sports facilities within reach, create opportunities for variation and movement.

What characterizes Björksätraskolan 7-9 is a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Students, staff, and guardians describe the school as a safe place where everyone is seen. Through active student health services, engaged employees, permanent substitutes, and dedicated student coaches, we create a stable and supportive environment where students can develop, both academically and as individuals.

Our teachers work with high expectations and genuine engagement, which yields results. Many of our students leave school with eligibility for upper secondary school, ready to take the next step in life. Together, we dare to aim high and create a culture where it is possible to reach one's goals.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

As a teacher of Swedish and English for grades 7-9, you will become an important part of creating teaching where student development is at the center. You work both independently and together with the subject team to develop teaching in a sustainable and thoughtful way.

You contribute by:

• Creating teaching that starts from students' needs and prerequisites
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's development work within language development and teaching development.

We make each other better by:

• Sharing experiences and knowledge in collegial forums
• Working with a solution-focused approach
• Developing teaching together in subject teams
• Having a shared responsibility for students' safety and learning

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on the individual's needs and create conditions for learning. A structured work approach helps you plan and follow up on teaching in a clear and effective way.

Collaboration is a natural part of our daily life. You work attentively together with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where teaching is developed jointly. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to absorb new ideas and approaches and to see the possibilities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's collective learning.

The following are required for the assignment:

• Teaching license with eligibility in Swedish and English.
• Good knowledge of the primary school's steering documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Good digital competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
