Your Responsibilities

Saab is now looking for a Cable Design Engineer who wants to become part of an engaged team and work with advanced technical solutions in a developmental environment. As a Cable Design Engineer, you are responsible for creating the electrical content of cable assemblies and managing component orders related to the design.

In this role, you will be part of a team of designers who produce detailed cable drawings based on overarching technical specifications. The work is project-based and involves close collaboration with other technical areas such as systems, mechanics, and software.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design of electrical schematics.
• 3D design in mechanical systems.
• Participation in requirement specification and component selection.
• Work in PDM systems.

The position is site-based, and the work is performed 100% on-site in Linköping.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have experience in designing cable assemblies and a relevant educational background in the field. You may have a background as an electronic engineer, electronic designer, electronic developer, or electrical engineer; the key is experience and interest in working with cable design. You thrive in a collaborative environment where you get to work closely with different technical disciplines and contribute your expertise in complex projects.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance assessment according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
