We are looking for you who, with experience as a management accountant (controller) and an analytical, solution-oriented approach to work, want to contribute together with us to supporting the Swedish Food Agency in developing financial management and operations in financial matters.

Your Role

We place great emphasis on developing financial management to meet a rapidly changing external environment and new demands on operations and finance. As a controller, you support the operations in financial planning, analysis, and follow-up. You work with budgets and forecasts at both the overarching agency level and at departmental and unit levels. You therefore collaborate with managers at various levels, supporting, training, and guiding them in financial matters. You also participate in the development of our processes, working methods, and systems, and independently drive your own questions within the subject area.

The Finance Unit

The Finance Unit, which currently consists of approximately 18 people, is part of the Agency Support Division. Our main task is to coordinate the Swedish Food Agency's financial processes and to serve as support for the Director General and the operations in financial matters. We are divided into three teams focusing on accounting, controlling, and procurement/tendering. Our culture is characterized by collaboration, helpfulness, and a curiosity for development.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have a university degree in economics or equivalent, or alternatively long work experience within finance
• Have several years of experience in operational work involving budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and follow-up within the public sector
• Are accustomed to working in financial systems and have good knowledge of Excel
• Can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

• Experience in financial work with different funding sources, such as fees, appropriations, grants, project economics, etc.
• Experience working with Agresso/UBW
• Experience in IT controlling
• Experience working with financial models
• Experience with cost allocation models or pricing within the public sector
• Experience in finance within the emergency preparedness area
