Airworthiness Engineer for Aircraft System S/TP 102, Gulfstream GIV
The S 102 – Gulfstream GIV is the Swedish Armed Forces' intelligence aircraft and an important part of the Swedish defence. Do you want to be part of its development? Malmen in Linköping is the cradle of Swedish military aviation and remains a centre for development, as well as for the operation and maintenance of the defence force's helicopters and aircraft.
About the Position
The Technical and Maintenance Division (TVA) is the Air Force's technical office responsible for ensuring continued airworthiness and maintenance production, modification activities, and common technical issues for all aircraft material systems in the Swedish Armed Forces. A part of TVA is the First Technical and Maintenance Section (1.TVS), which is now looking for an Airworthiness Engineer for the S/TP 102 aircraft systems.
The position involves working with technical issues and continued airworthiness within the Swedish Armed Forces' CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation). The work is carried out in close collaboration with other authorities and industry. The professional languages are Swedish and English.
Main Responsibilities
- Represent the Technical Manager of the Material System regarding tasks within continued airworthiness
- Act as the link between other authorities and the Swedish Armed Forces' CAMO regarding technical system support and deviation management
- Provide technical support to actors within aviation maintenance and participate in development and problem-solving within the current material system
- Monitor airworthiness within the current material system
- Conduct technical investigations and reports.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Relevant engineering education or equivalent professional experience that the employer can assess as equivalent
- Experience of working within continued airworthiness or a relevant material area
- Experience of aircraft material systems at the unit level or equivalent civil experience
- Knowledge of regulations within civil and military aviation
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Category B driving licence.

Other Information
Employment Type: Permanent civil employment. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for you who are not already employed by the authority.
Scope: 100 %.
Work Location: Linköping
Start Date: By agreement.
Travel in the service occurs with shorter or longer duty at other locations, both nationally and internationally. Individual salary setting applies.

The primary and largest task of the Air Force Staff is to support the Air Force Chief in leading all squadrons and schools in the Air Force at all levels of the conflict scale.
