The Home Care Service has approximately 130 employees who contribute to many customers' daily lives through municipal home care. We work to ensure that individuals can live independent lives based on their own conditions. The assignments in Home Care are characterized by providing care and service of the highest quality.

We are now looking for four dedicated assistant nurses who want to work with us!

Job Responsibilities

Common tasks within home care include encouraging, supporting, and motivating regarding personal hygiene, nursing care, meals, and activities. We base our work on the user's needs and wishes. The goal is to enable the elderly to remain in their homes for as long as they wish, with perceived safety and quality. We work according to the Individual's Needs in Center (IBIC) principle. The job involves having good dialogue with care recipients and their relatives, documenting according to social services guidelines via computer, and handling delegated health and medical care tasks.

In our home care facility, there is also maintenance of common areas, laundry rooms, and staff rooms. Your responsibilities include following both municipal overarching policy documents as well as unit routines and given instructions for employment and daily work. This includes, for example, following basic hygiene routines, using assistive devices and medical technology products, and working ergonomically.

In ordinary housing, we work with fixed care contacts, meaning that if you have a permanent employment contract, you have a specific responsibility towards one or more users. We continuously implement new working methods and digitalization to follow societal needs. You use a mobile phone as a work tool and document in the Treserva system. At our company, you work both independently and together with your colleagues. Working hours vary and can include days, evenings, and weekends. We use bicycles as transport, provided by the employer. We are also responsible for responding to alarms in the area.

The Home Care facilities are located at Helheten on Markörvägen in Strängnäs, near the Transport Center. Work with our users takes place in central Strängnäs. There may be pets in the users' homes.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Valid professional license as an assistant nurse
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• Good computer skills
• Category B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge of and/or experience working with specializations in mental health, dementia, and palliative care
• Previous experience working in elderly care
