About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will become safer and more secure for everyone. We are the agency responsible for prisons, probation, remand custody, and prisoner transport.
The position is located within the Section for Analysis and Coordination, which is part of the Planning Unit on the Security Department. The section is responsible for developing methods and models for monitoring, analysis, and planning of security work within the framework of the agency's steering and follow-up model. The section is responsible for coordination within the department and the distribution of incoming requests/references, as well as for the department's email, mail handling, and registration. The section is also responsible for extracting and conducting national analyses of reported incidents in the incident reporting system. The section also holds administrative responsibility for the Security Department's IT systems.
Job Description
An administrator at the Security Department contributes significantly to the efficient functioning of the department. The role is characterized by its administrative nature and serves a coordinating and coordinating function within the department. As an administrator, you assist or provide service to the entire department, while also potentially having responsibility for your own tasks and assignments. In this role, you will work together with others to create the conditions for meeting the Security Department's future needs, challenges, and changes in relation to the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's capacity increase and other future changes. This position has specific responsibility for the administration of intelligence operations but, like the other administrators, has an overarching responsibility for the department's administration.
Some main tasks and areas of responsibility included in the role are providing administrative support to the department and managers regarding, for example, case management, meeting bookings, minute taking, registration, post and document handling, as well as some invoice and procurement handling. The role also includes administrative coordination of incoming documents and cases, as well as support in the planning, implementation, and follow-up of assignments, investigations, and conferences. Furthermore, it involves handling parts of the department's access rights administration and independently identifying, driving, and completing administrative matters with good foresight.
A remote work agreement of up to 20 percent, depending on what the work allows, applies. The tasks primarily require working from the office.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Complete upper secondary education in the form of final grades or a high school diploma in a relevant area, e.g., economics, administration, or another direction that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant
- Several years of experience in administrative work at a public authority
- Very good administrative skills
- High digital maturity
- Experience working in the Office package
- Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
The following are also meritorious:
- Administrative further education
- Work experience from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- Experience working with archives, confidential documents, as well as handling authority email or similar
- Knowledge of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's administrative systems (Proceedo, KVR, Platina)
- Knowledge of the principle of public access to official records and confidentiality issues
- Experience in intelligence operations
Interviews are planned to be conducted in Week 26 and Week 27.
