Division of Social Care seeks Specialist Nurse in Dementia Care

To meet the growing need for support and care for dementia patients, the Division of Social Care is establishing a multidisciplinary dementia team that works according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's standardized intervention pathways. The team currently consists of a unit manager, three nursing assistants with specialist training in dementia, and a dementia nurse – together, we work to create safety and quality for people with dementia and their relatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Dementia Resource Team works across the boundary between the region and the municipality, with the mandate to support people with dementia and their relatives throughout the course of the illness. The goal is to facilitate daily life and contribute to the best possible quality of life. The team's work is based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's standardized intervention pathways and the national dementia strategy.

As a specialist nursing assistant in dementia, you will become an important part of the team. You will be a support for the operations, educate and supervise staff in the intervention pathway, dementia care, and approach, and contribute to developing and ensuring the quality of methods in line with the new dementia strategy. The assignment also includes designing and clarifying the workflow between the region and the municipality. The work is done in close collaboration with other professions to ensure that people with dementia and their relatives receive the right support at the right time.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are educated as a specialist nursing assistant in dementia, or have equivalent competence according to the employer's assessment. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have a B-class driver's license.

You are a person who thrives in a changing daily life and sees development as something positive. You have a good ability to plan and prioritize, work in a structured manner, and collaborate well with different professions. You are receptive, communicative, and confident in adapting your approach to the situation and the person. Speaking in front of a group feels natural to you, and you meet others with calmness, a service-oriented attitude, and respect.
