About the Workplace

Kungsgården School, located 8 km west of Sandviken, is a F-5 school (preschool class to grade 5). The school is located close to nature with walking distance to Lake Storsjön, which we utilize both in teaching and for outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to the school's steering documents. The assignment involves creating an accessible learning environment where students' curiosity and desire to learn are valued. In the role of a textile crafts teacher, you lead creative and practical work processes where students get to explore materials, techniques, and design. You guide and support students through the entire creative process and are responsible for a safe and secure working environment.

You contribute by:

• Stimulating students' development and learning based on their individual needs
• Creating good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Being a clear and secure role model for students
• Actively working for an inclusive and safe school environment
• Collaborating in the work team to develop teaching

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students absorb knowledge in different ways. You are good at creating trusting relationships and contribute to a safe and accessible learning environment. Sensitivity and collaboration skills are important traits in collegial work, where teaching is developed together. A structured way of working facilitates planning and follow-up, while flexibility allows you to handle changed needs and see opportunities in new situations. An inclusive approach permeates your work and creates good conditions for all students.

Requirements for the assignment:

• Teacher certification with eligibility for teaching in crafts
• Good knowledge of the primary school's steering documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Good IT competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.
