From autumn 2026, Kilafors School is seeking a Special Needs Teacher/Special Educator. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date in August 2026 or by agreement.

Kilafors School is a comprehensive school (Grades F-9) in Bollnäs Municipality, located near beautiful nature with forests, meadows, and water that inspire play, creativity, and learning. We have two classes in Grades F-1 and 2-3, single-grade classes in Grades 4, 5, and 6, one class in Grade 7, two classes in Grade 8, and one class in Grade 9. Responsibilities

As a Special Needs Teacher/Special Educator here, you will play a central role in creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment for all students. You will work closely with the principal and the school's pedagogues to develop operations and ensure that students in need of special support have the right conditions to succeed in their schooling.

You will become an important part of the school's student health and development work, with a focus on early interventions, preventive work, and collegial learning. Through supervision, consultation, and inspiration, you will support the work teams in meeting the natural variation of students' different needs and prerequisites.

The position includes, among other things:

• Supervising and supporting pedagogues in working with extra adaptations and special support
• Conducting pedagogical assessments and evaluations
• Establishing, following up, and evaluating action plans
• Participating in student health meetings and collaborating with various professions within student health services
• Contributing to the school's development work and competence development
• Having contact and collaborating with guardians
• Working with support measures at the individual, group, and organizational levels
• Planning, implementing, and following up on pedagogical measures together with the school staff

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a Special Needs Teacher or Special Educator. You have good knowledge of the school's mission and governing documents, as well as a genuine commitment to creating an accessible and inclusive learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites.

You are confident in your professional role and have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues, student health services, guardians, and school management.

Personal suitability is highly valued. Through a solution-focused and relationship-building approach, you contribute to strengthening the school's preventive and promoting work. You have good ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and other adults, and otherwise serve as a good role model. As you will be part of a work team together with colleagues, we see that you are a person with good responsibility and collaboration skills.
