About the position

Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). As a personal assistant, your main task will be to help the customer with everyday occurrences and basic needs. Your work involves protecting the customer's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the customer's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The customer is 10 years old and lives with their family in Tungelsta. The customer needs help and support with most aspects of daily life. We are looking for you who have a warm demeanor, great patience, and a good ability to create safety, joy, and structure in the child's daily life.

Who are you?

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for you who are sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the customer.

Requirements for the position:

  • Previous experience working with children with disabilities.

  • Good knowledge of Swedish.

  • Good physical condition and ability to perform heavy lifting.

  • Non-smoker.

  • Not allergic to chlorine and able to swim, as the work may involve accompanying the customer to the swimming pool and participating in swimming activities.

Merits for the position:

  • Experience in similar work.

  • Experience and knowledge of epilepsy.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of approximately 60%. The position involves work on weekdays (Monday–Friday) between 13:00–20:30 and night shifts between 19:00–08:00 (with 7.5 hours on-call time). On Sundays, working hours are 08:30–15:30 and 21:30–08:00.

We would prefer that you can work two afternoon/evening shifts and two night shifts per week.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date: Immediately or according to agreement.
