Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and engaged IT Technician with experience in the daily operation of Configuration Manager (CM) as well as development work within IT Workplace Services. We write documentation and transfer knowledge.

You will work with software distribution, GPO, updates, and security patching via CM. Daily tasks include developing and implementing new solutions, performing deeper troubleshooting on existing solutions, participating in projects and assignments as an expert in the field, and staying up to date by monitoring the external environment.

The IT Workplace group is a team consisting of IT technicians, service owners, technical architects, and coordinating IT technicians. We are responsible for managing PCs, laptops, and their platforms. The group handles installations, smart card functionality, certification, testing of hardware and software, changes to hardware and software, and replacement of hardware and its accessories. The group is a 3rd line grouping and handles issues that our 1st and 2nd line support cannot resolve. As part of this group, you will work with positive, engaged, and knowledgeable colleagues who have a strong drive to do a good job and create value for our operations.

The group works towards the goal of the agency having modern, user-friendly, and secure solutions that simplify daily life for our operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• Complete upper secondary education (high school diploma) or experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
• Experience working as an IT Technician.
• Experience performing software troubleshooting.
• Experience working with IT within public sector operations.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager.
• Knowledge of IT workplace components (knowledge of IT Workplace hardware).
• Good knowledge of networks and servers.
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

The following are also meritorious:

• Certifications in relevant technology.
• Relevant higher education degree (diploma or degree).
• Experience working as an IT Technician in management.
• Experience working as an IT Technician in workplace services.
• Experience packaging software.
• Experience performing hardware troubleshooting.
• Experience working according to ITIL and PM3.
• Experience working in large IT environments.
• Experience monitoring the external environment and being able to suggest ways forward in the area.
• Basic knowledge of ITIL.
• Knowledge of IT security.
• Knowledge of IT workplace services.
• Good skills in troubleshooting Windows clients.
• Knowledge of Group Policy Management / Active Directory.
