The Community Development Administration is responsible for physical community planning, technical management of properties and streets, local care and catering operations, and processing cases within the planning and building sector. The Community Development Administration consists of five units: planning, building and MEX, local care, two catering units, and the technical unit which includes streets/parks and property.

Do you want to strengthen our team that creates nutritious and appealing meals for our guests? We are now looking for cooks for temporary hourly positions.

With us in the catering unit, you will have stimulating work in a municipality with a highly appreciated catering operation. We believe in the meal as a whole and aim to prepare all food from scratch, using as few semi-finished products as possible. The food should be delicious, nutritious, and visually appealing.

Within the catering unit, we have a total of 13 kitchens in central Munkedal, Hällevadsholm, Dingle, and Hedekas, located in our nursing homes, schools, and preschools. We prepare anywhere from about 20 to 700 portions in our kitchens. Now we are looking for you who want to contribute your love for food and be an important part of the whole!

Description of the work

As a cook in our kitchens, you prepare good and nutritious meals of high quality for our guests. You prepare and cook meals for the operation's guests, usually directly from raw ingredients. Together with your colleagues, you share the responsibility for ensuring good food hygiene based on both legal food handling, guidelines, and routines as well as daily cleaning of the kitchen. You receive, check, and unpack deliveries of goods and food, and as needed, place orders for the operation's catering and consumables.

We are looking for you who

• have a cook or large kitchen education, or alternatively work experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• have worked in a large kitchen and/or restaurant.
• have good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• have a B driver's license and access to a private car.
• are familiar with various regulations such as food hygiene and self-control.
• have training in food hygiene (meritorious).
• have extended knowledge and experience with diet food and consistency-adapted food (meritorious).
