The Legal Secretariat at the Office of the President provides qualified legal support to the management of Stockholm University, the rest of the university administration, and the academic staff. The Legal Secretariat investigates issues primarily of an administrative law, contract law, and student law nature, as well as issues concerning e.g. personal data, public access, and confidentiality. The Legal Secretariat coordinates the university's handling of disciplinary cases reviewed by Stockholm University's Disciplinary Board. Finally, the Legal Secretariat is responsible for representing Stockholm University in contacts with various law enforcement authorities and in court proceedings. The Legal Secretariat consists of nine employees and is led by the Chief Legal Counsel.
The Legal Secretariat is now seeking a Case Reporter/Handler primarily to support the work with handling disciplinary cases before Stockholm University's Disciplinary Board.
Responsibilities
As a handler, you will work independently with the reporting of cases before Stockholm University's Disciplinary Board and the associated administration of such cases. This work also includes, when necessary, communicating with the university's various departments and students in ongoing disciplinary cases.
Qualifications
You are responsible, take initiative, and are solution-oriented. You have very good linguistic and stylistic skills (in speech and writing) in Swedish and English. You have very good ability to summarize and present extensive material both in writing and orally in a structured and understandable manner.
To be successful in the role of Case Reporter/Handler at Stockholm University, it is important that you have good cooperation skills and communication skills. It is also important that you have a good ability to work independently with a clear result focus. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal suitability.
Extra merits for the position include prior experience in reporting disciplinary cases at a higher education institution, as the candidate's ability to quickly get into the tasks is considered an urgent operational need.
About the Position
The position is permanent, full-time, with a six-month probationary period. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.
