Are you a licensed physician looking to develop within primary care? At Onsala Health Centre, we are now looking for an engaged and responsible doctor to join our team on a temporary basis.

Here, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop in your role. If we work well together, there are possibilities for a specialist training (ST) position in general medicine in the future.

About the role

We are looking for someone interested in the breadth of the specialty of general medicine and who can envision a future within primary care, as this temporary position may transition into a specialist training (ST) post. Your time served as a temporary doctor will count towards your ST training if you secure the position. Your work will be varied, as you will see both children and adults at both scheduled and emergency clinics. You will meet our patients both in person and digitally. It is important to us that care is patient-focused and delivered at the appropriate level, as our patients have diverse needs and circumstances.

You will be offered regular supervision by a specialist in general medicine. We have experienced supervisors and a close collaboration with educational units to ensure your professional development.

About us

Onsala Health Centre, located about 10 km outside the central town of Kungsbacka, is a pleasant and well-established health centre with approximately 10,200 registered patients. We are a team of about 45 employees dedicated to providing high-quality care with the patient at the center. The health centre is also responsible for three elderly care homes. Good service is important to us, and we value a good work environment and high job satisfaction!

Together, we are the obvious choice for our residents when they need primary care.

In addition to providing high-quality care, we also offer health-promoting and disease-preventive care. The health centre operates a laboratory, Child Health Centre (BVC), district nurse clinic, as well as specialist clinics for asthma/COPD and diabetes. We also have a rehabilitation team at Onsala Health Centre. A pharmacy and dental care are also located in the same building.

You can easily reach us by car or via public transport, and free parking is available.

About you

We are primarily looking for you who have:

• Swedish medical license with approved knowledge of the Swedish language
• Completed internship (AT)
• Perhaps you have started specialist training (ST) elsewhere or in another region?
• Previous work experience, preferably from a health centre
• A genuine interest in primary care and general medical work
• Are communicative, responsible, and have good teamwork skills

The health centre is open on weekdays from 08:00 to 17:00.

To ensure good and safe communication with colleagues, patients, and other contacts, we require good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
