Your Workplace

At the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Karlstad, we work with both individual and group-based interventions. We work together in teams centered around the patient, consisting of psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychotherapists, healthcare administrators, and doctors. We continuously develop our methods in line with national care and intervention programs, ensuring our work environment goes hand in hand with patient safety.

You will be involved in shaping the psychologist's role and mission at our clinic, working together with us. The work is flexible and independent but also involves significant teamwork.

Your Responsibilities

As a psychologist at the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in Karlstad, you will, among other things, work with neuropsychiatric investigations, diagnostic assessments, in-depth psychological assessments, psychoeducation, and psychological treatment in groups or individually.

A part of your mission as a psychologist with us is to contribute your psychological expertise to treatment and referral conferences. Your duties include method development and quality assurance as part of the team and in collaboration with other clinics.

Your Knowledge and Competencies

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. It is meritorious if you have worked in psychiatric outpatient care and/or have specialized training. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability as we are keen to find the right person for the position and for our team. The work is variable, and you need to be adaptable to new circumstances, having a solution-focused and positive approach. You thrive working independently as well as collaborating with others. You work in a structured manner and are good at planning and prioritizing in a changing work environment.

You have a good holistic view that helps you see both the patient's and the organization's needs in daily work, while also supporting colleagues with your expertise when needed.
