Milbo School

Milbo School is a grades F-6 school located in the pleasant area of Hille on the northern outskirts of Gävle. The operations are divided into two buildings, grades F-3 and 4-6, and there are approximately 350 students. Together with the schools in Björke, Trödje, and Bergby, Milbo School belongs to the Bergby Principal Area.

We are now looking for two teachers for grades 4-6 who want to contribute to the students' learning and development in a safe and stimulating school environment. Here, you will work in a dedicated team where collaboration and quality are in focus.

Job Description

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you will have the opportunity to inspire, challenge, and support students in their knowledge development. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to a joyful, varied, and high-quality school day where the students' development and well-being are the focus. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other educators, student health services, guardians, and is performed according to current goals and guidelines.

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching in grades 4-6 in the subjects Mathematics (MA) and Natural Sciences (NO).
• Having class responsibility as well as responsibility for mapping, planning, implementation, and evaluation of lessons.
• Mapping students' needs and adapting teaching according to their prerequisites.
• Mentorship.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A teaching degree and teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 and the subjects MA and NO.
• Familiarity with and knowledge of the Swedish compulsory school curriculum.
• The ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of and experience working with digital tools, for example, documentation in Unikum or Office.

• Collaborative: You have a non-hierarchical approach in your collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians.
• Clear leadership: You demonstrate clear and secure leadership, naturally motivating students and creating an environment where they thrive and feel good. You have a good ability to create open dialogue and adapt your language to the situation and target group.

Employment Terms

Type of employment: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent.
Working hours: Daytime.

As a final candidate, you must be able to present a police certificate of good conduct (background check) for work within school or preschool. This should not be attached to your application.
