Your responsibilities
As a communicator at the Department of Culture and Leisure, you work broadly with communication within the department, both externally and internally. The role focuses on digital channels and involves responsibility for planning, producing, and publishing content. Part of the role targets the Sports & Outdoor Life division, but it is varied, and you will work with many types of target groups across various channels.
You will:
- Create engaging and target-group-specific content for print (e.g., ads, posters), web, social media (e.g., video, infographics), and other digital platforms.
- Drive and lead communication projects from start to finish.
- Analyze and optimize content based on statistics and user behavior.
- Support colleagues with communication issues and contribute to developing communication strategies.
- Participate in the work of creating new internal and external websites in the coming years.
Your workplace
The Department of Culture and Leisure has approximately 260 employees and consists of the department's core team plus four divisions: Culture, Youth & Leisure, Sports & Outdoor Life, and Library. Your workplace is the department's core team with strategic functions, where the department director, deputy director, managers, specialists, and other support functions within finance, HR, and communication are located. You are welcomed into an open and bright office environment in the heart of Linköping. Together, we work across the entire department to develop a rich range of meeting places for leisure, culture, and sports for our citizens and visitors.
You will work within the Communication & Events Unit, where you will be one of three employees: two communicators and one events project manager.
Who you are
You have relevant education in communication, marketing, or equivalent. You have several years of experience working with digital communication, graphic production, and content creation. Additionally, you are an experienced project manager who can coordinate communication efforts. You have worked with graphic design, photography, and print production using Adobe programs InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, as well as social media. You have also worked with publishing tools such as Sitevision and Optimizely, as well as analytics tools like Matomo and Google Analytics.
We believe you have good stylistic skills and an eye for visually appealing content. You find it easy to collaborate with different people and thrive in a varied work environment. You are an idea-rich and analytical person driven by creating engaging communication. Furthermore, you are flexible, adaptable in your working methods based on different conditions, and have the ability to adapt messages and formats to different target groups and channels.
