Together, we fulfill one of society's most important missions – creating utility and value for residents, businesses, and future generations. Regardless of the department, we work towards the same goal: to be a great place to live, work, and thrive.

We are currently in an exciting phase of development. We are a driving force in digital development and artificial intelligence, and together we create smart solutions for the people of Sundsvall today and in the future.

Sundsvall plays a central role in the green transition in northern Sweden. We are convinced that the right places for this transition are here. As a municipality, we are preparing to grow by, among other things, preparing land, creating new educational opportunities, marketing the municipality, and welcoming new residents from all over the world.

Your new workplace

We are looking for a nurse/psychiatric nurse who enjoys working independently, wants to make a difference every day, and thrives in a great team. If this sounds like you, this might be the workplace for you. Within the unit, we continue to develop healthcare for people living in supported housing, according to the Support and Service Act for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). The work is fun, frustrating, challenging, and rewarding. If you enjoy it when one day is not like the other, this job might be for you. The team consists of eight nurses, two physiotherapists, and three occupational therapists, all of whom have helped shape or are shaping the specific approach towards LSS. Our workplace is characterized by laughter, and everyone is treated equally and with respect. We promote cohesion and have fun together.

We offer you:

  • Your own patients/residents
  • Independent work where you plan your day
  • Interprofessional teamwork with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, housing managers, care staff, and other professions surrounding the resident
  • Individual competence development
  • Working hours: Weekdays between 07:30–16:00
  • Health-promoting measures such as fitness cards/fitness allowance and fitness hour
  • Supplement to parental insurance
  • Extra vacation days when you turn 40
  • Option to exchange vacation days for more vacation days, option to exchange salary for occupational pension
  • Membership in Sundsvall Municipality's leisure association

How you contribute in the role of nurse

The HSL (Health and Social Care) team works together in central premises in Sundsvall. The residences where our residents live are spread throughout the municipality. As a nurse, you will be assigned a number of residences where you have the main responsibility for the residents living at each location. Your duties include working proactively so that our residents have the best conditions for a good quality of life. Examples of tasks include conducting assessments both in person and by phone, coordinating planned measures, and performing delegated care tasks from care staff. You lead the care work in consultation with the patient and in collaboration with the housing manager, care staff, and other professions and healthcare providers. If you are curious about how we work and would like to do a workplace visit, we offer the opportunity to do so.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A licensed nurse, preferably a psychiatric nurse with a few years of experience
  • Interested in continuing to develop healthcare issues within LSS
  • Responsible and confident in structuring and planning your work, as well as making decisions within the framework of your assignment
  • Good at collaborating and able to work independently
  • Skilled at communicating well, both orally and in writing, in Swedish.
  • Since the work involves driving, you must hold a Class B driver's license for a manual transmission.

It is meritorious if you have experience working with people with disabilities and are a nurse, preferably with further education in psychiatry.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability!
