About the Operations
County Hospital Somatics coordinates the county hospital care for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county hospital operations. These operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several clinics located in various locations across the county. The Orthopedics Area is part of County Hospital Somatics and conducts both planned and emergency operations, focusing on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technical Department at Sundsvall Hospital.
With us, you will have excellent development opportunities within Orthopedics, and we offer internal training as well as OSS – Orthopedic Self-Study Course for nurses.
We are now looking for a nurse for the Orthopedic Department in Örnsköldsvik, which includes both planned and emergency operations. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a temporary placement at the Orthopedic Department in Örnsköldsvik.
Job Responsibilities
Your work tasks will largely consist of:
- Standard nursing duties for a care ward
- Patient handling both before and after surgery
- Pain management
- Mobilization and monitoring
We work close to the patient in care teams with doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. In addition to direct patient work, we are all involved in developing and improving care. Our goal is to always base our work on the patient's needs.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a licensed nurse
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
It is an advantage if you:
- Have experience from orthopedics or emergency care
