Härnösand Municipality is now looking for substitutes who can start working immediately, as well as during the summer, within elderly care and Functional Support. Here, you work closely with people who need support in their daily lives, and your commitment means more than you might think.

We are looking for you who want to work as:

• Assistant Nurse or Care Staff within home care services or specialized housing
• Support Staff or Support Assistant within Functional Support: LSS (Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and social psychiatry

♥ Elderly Care – Home Care or Elderly Housing

As care staff or assistant nurse, you help elderly people in their daily lives – either in their own homes or in an elderly housing facility. This can range from personal care to simply being there, talking for a while, creating a sense of security, and providing a meaningful day-to-day life based on each person's needs and wishes.

You work either in the individual's home or at an elderly housing facility. In some cases, health and medical tasks are included after delegation, as well as documentation in our journal system.

We have several different workplaces:

• Within home care services, there are six geographical areas, a short-term unit, and a night patrol
• Within specialized housing, there are seven elderly housing facilities around the municipality

♥ Functional Support – LSS & Social Psychiatry

As support staff or support assistant, you help our users live as independent and meaningful a life as possible. Here, you support people with functional impairments in their daily lives. Everyone is different, so the work is adapted to each person's needs and wishes.

You collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other caregivers, and document in our journal system. In some operations, simpler health and medical tasks may also be included.

Our users are of different ages and live in:

• Group housing
• Service apartments
• Their own apartments

The housing facilities are located around Härnösand.

» For work within Functional Support, a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (extract from the record of convictions) is required before employment.

What you need to apply

• Good knowledge of Swedish (equivalent to SFI D)
• Comfortable using digital tools, including computer and mobile phone at work
• Valid work permit in Sweden

This is important as the job involves a lot of communication, collaboration, and documentation.

Extra bonus if you have:

• Education or experience within healthcare, social care, psychiatry, or pedagogy
• Driver's license (sometimes a requirement, especially within home care services)
• Sign language skills – extra valuable in some operations!

You enjoy working with people and like to collaborate. You are attentive, engaged, and see the value in helping others. You are flexible, keep your cool when the pace is high, and feel comfortable working independently at times.
