Health Center Gripen is located centrally in Karlstad, just a stone's throw from the Klarälven river, Värmland Museum, and the city's beautiful park areas. We are Värmland's largest health center with approximately 19,000 registered patients and nearly 60 dedicated employees. Here, we work together with the goal of creating safe, accessible, and warm care – for both our patients and each other.

At our workplace, you will meet a welcoming environment with broad competence and good team spirit. We have an experienced nursing group with broad specialist competence, as well as a stable medical group consisting of both specialists and specialty trainee doctors. Gripen also has a well-functioning counseling clinic with counselors and psychologists, and together with nursing assistants, podiatrists, and healthcare administrators, we work closely together in teams.

We collaborate with the Municipality of Karlstad and have assistance assessors on-site as well as pharmacists who support medication reviews. This creates good conditions for close and person-centered work.

Your responsibilities

As a District Nurse with us, you will have a varied and meaningful job with great opportunities to influence your workday.

The tasks include, among other things, telephone advice, own clinic visits, teamwork regarding patients, and staffing the emergency clinic for patients with acute needs. There is also the possibility of a shared position at the emergency center for those who appreciate variety in work and flexibility in the schedule.

We work actively to develop our operations and find smart, sustainable ways of working with high quality and good accessibility. At our center, the District Nurse plays a central role, and we value ideas, initiatives, and participation.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who are educated as a District Nurse and who want to work in an operation where collaboration and good customer service are natural parts of everyday life.

It is an advantage if you have education and/or experience in areas such as diabetes, asthma/COPD, heart failure, or dementia.

We believe that you are a positive and secure person who enjoys meeting people in different situations and has good empathetic skills. You work independently, take your own initiatives, and exercise good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions in your daily work. At the same time, you appreciate working together with others, contribute to a good atmosphere, and want to actively participate in developing the operations together with your colleagues.
