At the Swedish Pensions Agency, we are currently undergoing an exciting transformation to develop our new benefit system from the ground up, involving significant new development. We are now looking for several Java Developers who are team-oriented and thrive in collaborative environments!
About the job
As a Java Developer with us, you will be part of a team working within a team-based organization following the agile framework SAFe. Our teams are cross-functional and self-managing to handle all parts of the development chain.
Here is how one of our teams describes itself:
"We are a self-organizing hybrid team working at the forefront with technical challenges related to the development of the next generation pension system, based on microservices. We facilitate quality assurance of services and systems and enable continuous delivery to test and production (CI/CD). Furthermore, our vision is to drive innovation and take responsibility for the architecture by being leaders in our field. Together with the team, you will have the opportunity to develop and work with cutting-edge technology."
Your profile
As a person, you enjoy teamwork where knowledge is shared and learned from each other. You speak your mind, listen to others, and are comfortable collaborating remotely as we work in distributed teams. You are a problem solver who enjoys turning complex requirements into structured code and wants to contribute to guiding us in technology and methodology.
We care about our culture and how we collectively influence our shared workplace. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
We are looking for you who:
- have relevant post-secondary education in fields such as data or computer science from a university or college
- have at least five years of work experience as a system developer with Java and modern frameworks such as Spring Boot. (We are also looking for candidates with less experience – see the Java Developer job posting on our website.)
- have developed and maintained complex systems in a larger development organization within sectors such as insurance, telecom, finance, or the public sector
- have experience working in agile teams
- are proficient in Swedish
It is an advantage if you:
- have experience with REST services and JMS
- have experience with build process tools such as Jenkins
- are familiar with testing frameworks such as JUnit or Cucumber
- have experience working with code and build tools such as Git and Maven
- have experience with a modern IDE, preferably IntelliJ
What we offer
A public sector mission that truly matters! A workplace where we value a good balance between work and leisure. We apply a hybrid working model with possibilities for remote work and office work based on an agreement with the employer. As a state employee, you also have good employment conditions and a benefits package including wellness programs, flexible working hours, extra days off around holidays, as well as good vacation and pension terms.
Our office in Stockholm is located at Hornstull.
