Your Responsibilities
Gustavsberg manufactures brass fittings and mixers for water systems in residential and multi-family buildings.
Batch sizes vary between 2,000 and 50,000 units. Since operators usually run multiple machines, there is approximately one setup change per shift.
We are currently in the middle of upgrading our machine park, which means we are replacing old machines with new, state-of-the-art ones.
Shift work is included.
Our machine park is evolving, and we are therefore seeking new skills for our facility in Vårgårda.
We are now looking for a driven and meticulous CNC operator/setup technician (preferably with some programming competence in ISO) for Gustavsberg's turning department. The position involves operating both modern and older bar-fed lathes with magazines, where the older ones are being phased out gradually. The existing machine park consists of: Index, Gildemeister (multi-spindle), Wickman (multi-spindle), Citizen, EMCO, Mazak, and simpler Traub lathes.
The role initially focuses on handling/operating machines with measurement, dimension correction, and loading, as well as preparing and performing setup changes.
For the right person, the role will develop with the opportunity to work with CNC program programming.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who have experience with CNC turning. We prefer that you are a responsible, driven, and proactive person who has the capacity and desire to develop together with us as our machine park changes over the coming years.
Do not be afraid to ask for help, but have the basic attitude of trying to solve problems yourself first. Good troubleshooting skills and logical thinking are desirable.
We work in a team even though you have individual areas of responsibility. Therefore, you need to be used to collaborating with others but also able to work independently.
We are looking for a long-term placement, so proximity to Vårgårda is preferred.
Requirements:
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Experience with CNC work, either through education or employment, with good references.
- Ability to handle machines mechanically, as setup is part of the job.
- Ability to measure and read drawings.
- Quality conscious.
Merits:
- Experience with CNC programming.
The position is a permanent employment, although a probationary period may apply.
