Job Description
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an engaged and meticulous machine operator for their facility in Hamburgsund. Our client is a leading player in the processing of natural stone and offers a stable workplace where modern machinery meets rich craftsmanship. This is the opportunity for you if you want to work with a robust natural material and deliver products of the highest quality.
In the role of machine operator at our client's site, you play a crucial part in the production of Swedish granite. You will be part of a tight-knit production team where precision, quality, and safety are in focus. The work involves operating, monitoring, and optimizing machines that shape and process stone from raw blocks to finished products.
This position is a fantastic opportunity for you if you thrive in physical and practical work, have a good technical mind, and want to work for a company with strong team spirit and pride in its craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, adjust, and monitor production machines (such as splitting and cutting machines) for granite processing.
- Quality Assurance: Continuously check that finished stone products meet the correct dimensions, tolerances, and visual requirements.
- Maintenance: Perform daily care, basic service, and preventive maintenance of machines and tools.
- Flow Optimization: Ensure a smooth production flow and report any deviations or material defects.
- Safety: Follow applicable safety regulations and actively contribute to a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a machine operator in industry, manufacturing, or processing of heavy materials (experience with stone, concrete, or wood is advantageous).
- Technical Understanding: Ability to read and understand production drawings and handle measuring tools (e.g., calipers).
- Language & IT: Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, as well as basic computer literacy to handle machine systems.
- Personal Attributes: You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and have a good eye for detail. Since you work in close collaboration with colleagues, we value good team spirit and a non-hierarchical attitude.
- Advantageous: Forklift license and/or overhead crane license is a big plus for the position.
