At Pani Mekaniska AB, we are specialists in precision machining, turning, and milling of heavy-duty components. We work with everything from standard cast iron and forged steel to high-alloy steels such as Duplex, Super Duplex, Inconel, and Hastelloy. Our machinery fleet consists of modern, robust CNC machines, including boring mills, turret lathes, and CNC multi-operation machines.

We serve the entire European market, with recurring customers from Norway, the Netherlands, and England. We are a close-knit team of just over 20 employees. We believe in short decision-making paths, an informal and pleasant atmosphere, and that our staff is our greatest strength.

About the role:

You will work on complex jobs in low series and piece production of components weighing up to 20 tons.

• The processes are long and require you to have full control from drawing to finished part.
• You are responsible for setup, fixturing, and machining in our larger CNC machines.
• You program directly at the machine or via a CAM system, based on customer drawings.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who is a confident and independent CNC operator with several years of experience in cutting machining, preferably within heavy-duty mechanics.

• Experience: You are proficient in milling, turning, or boring in large machines.
• Programming: You have programming experience (e.g., Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens, or similar control systems) and can read and interpret complex drawings without issues.
• Material Knowledge: Experience machining tougher materials (stainless/high-alloy steel or cast iron) is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: Since the jobs take a long time and are technically advanced, you must be meticulous, quality-conscious, and patient. You must speak and understand Swedish well. As we have international customers, basic English skills are an advantage.

Working hours:

Upon starting employment, you will work day shifts Monday–Thursday 06:30–16:00 and Friday 06:30–13:30. Breakfast and lunch are included (2 x 30 min).

Over time, you will most likely transition to a two-shift system.

Two-shift system:

• Monday–Thursday 06:00–14:00 (break 30 min)
• Friday 06:00–15:15 (break 30 min + 15 min lunch)
• Monday–Thursday 13:50–23:20 (break 30 min)
• Friday off (via working time reduction)
