ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is a global defense and security company active in air, land, and naval defense, civil security, and commercial aviation technology. They are technically leading in many areas, with one-fifth of their revenue going to research and development. In the role of Development Engineer within automation, you will work with the development and optimization of test equipment and automated systems. This is not about classic robot automation in high-volume production, but rather about technical solutions that need to be further developed, modernized, and secured over time.

You will primarily work with existing equipment, where older technical solutions need to be improved, adapted, or rebuilt to meet new requirements. The role also includes the development of new test equipment, requirements work, documentation, and system work related to technical solutions and processes.

A significant part of the work is linked to PLC systems and control systems, where you will help design, understand, and further develop solutions based on business needs. You will also contribute to ensuring the operation and maintenance of the equipment, meaning you will combine technical analysis with practical problem-solving.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Have studied a post-secondary education in areas such as automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, or another relevant technical field
• Have at least one year of work experience from automation, control systems, or PLC
• Have a clear technical interest and a desire to work broadly with technical systems
• Have an understanding of electrical or electrically adjacent systems
• Have good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT

This position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks in accordance with current regulations. For positions where our client requires a security classification, this may, in some cases, entail a requirement for specific citizenship.

This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Friday.
