We within the Elderly Care Unit form a team of social secretaries, team leaders, occupational therapists, housing coordinators, and unit managers. We work throughout Hudiksvall Municipality, based in central Hudiksvall. We are dedicated employees driven by making a difference for our residents. We value a good work environment, and you will have close support from team leaders in your daily work, as well as colleagues who support and collaborate to constantly improve our operations. You will also have close access to managers and administrators.

We work continuously with case guidance. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction tailored to your needs and experience. We have an agreement regarding annual working hours, which means you can be flexible to some extent, provided it does not affect operations. We also have agreements regarding remote work for certain periods. We offer a wellness allowance and access to a gym in the same building.

Interviews will be conducted continuously, which means the recruitment process may be closed before the advertisement expires.

Job Responsibilities

The role involves investigating, assessing, and making decisions on requested interventions according to the Social Services Act, as well as following up and reviewing these decisions. You make well-founded decisions and maintain high legal security in your work. In your role as a social secretary, you will collaborate with both internal and external actors within the municipality.

Your Profile

Qualifications

For the position of social secretary, the following requirements apply:

• You hold a degree from the social work program or another equivalent higher education qualification.
• You have good verbal and written communication skills, the ability to organize and structure work, as well as the ability to work independently.
• Computer proficiency.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

About the Department

We care for our elderly when they need support in their daily lives. We are one of the few municipalities in Sweden with a consolidated social services department.
