About the role

As a Strategic Buyer, you play a central role in our purchasing operations, focusing on aluminum scrap, raw material optimization, and indirect materials. You work both strategically and operationally, taking significant personal responsibility while collaborating closely with colleagues, suppliers, and sister companies.

You will become a key part of developing our business, strengthening supplier relationships, and identifying new market opportunities – always with sustainability and long-term thinking in focus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drive and develop purchasing activities and processes to meet set goals and strategies.
• Develop existing supplier collaborations and identify new business opportunities.
• Work with cost optimization and raw material analysis.
• Participate in and lead development projects.
• Conduct supplier assessments and contract analyses.
• Stay well-informed and maintain a deep understanding of the market and its developments.

The role reports to the Commercial Manager and is based in Älmhult. We believe that the best relationships and business deals are created through close contact with our suppliers, so the position involves some travel within Sweden and Europe.

We are looking for someone who combines business acumen and analytical skills with energy, curiosity, and a strong drive to move forward. You are a humble team player who enjoys building relationships, sees opportunities in change, and is motivated by creating results together with others.

You have a relevant university degree or equivalent and previous multi-year experience in purchasing and/or sales, preferably from our industry.

Other requirements: Proficiency in computer skills, good knowledge of Swedish and English, and a valid driver’s license (Category B) are required. German is an advantage.
