About the Role

The unit you will be working within is a leading region within Peab focusing on major infrastructure projects. The group specializes in roads, railways, and water/sewage facilities. We are now looking for an experienced Buyer who will be responsible for project procurement and developing procurement processes for the southern geography of the region, based in Malmö or Helsingborg.

Responsibilities

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for executing purchases of materials and services. You will handle inquiries, negotiate contracts, and ensure that purchases are made according to budget and schedule.

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Ensure delivery of materials and services according to agreed specifications and schedules.
• Manage and evaluate suppliers.
• Collaborate with production management to identify procurement needs.
• Manage risks related to procurement and propose alternative solutions when necessary.
• Work in accordance with Peab's guidelines and ethical standards.

About You

You likely currently work as a Buyer in the construction industry, or alternatively as a Site Manager, Project Manager, Tender, Contract, or Project Engineer. You have knowledge of the construction process and negotiation techniques, and are analytical, structured, and capable of making quick decisions. You are communicative and have good collaboration skills to manage relationships with suppliers.

• You have a relevant university degree or equivalent experience within production, procurement, or logistics.
• You have at least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction and infrastructure industry.
• You have knowledge of local/national construction legislation and an understanding of contracts and legal documents.
• You have good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Experience working with procurement systems and good IT competence is meritorious.
• You have a valid driver's license (Category B).
