About the position

We are currently looking for personal assistants for a young man with great joy of life and significant care needs, who lives on Lidingö. One position is approximately 80%, and the other is a temporary hourly position for work on an as-needed basis and during the absence of regular staff. Your duties will include, among other things, supporting daily routines, nursing care, various types of transfers, planning and accompanying activities, going for walks, personal hygiene, meals, and dressing/undressing. In this role, you will be one of the key people contributing to ensuring that this young man, just like other youths, has the opportunity to be active and explore what life has to offer. For example, being at school, at the swimming pool, at amusement parks, in the gym, on playdates with friends, or traveling with the family.

Working hours are scheduled as follows:

• 08:00-18:00, 14:00/15:00-21:00, 12:00-21:00, 21:00-08:15 (awake night). Double assistance is sometimes required.

About the client

This young man uses a wheelchair and lives with his family. He is accustomed to living an active life, both independently and with his family. He has established routines and enjoys when things happen in his daily life. Our client, along with his family, goes skiing and also enjoys spending time at their country house. As an assistant, you should be able to join these trips, and it is highly appreciated if you share the client's interests, such as skiing. He also enjoys going out into nature for walks and likes to visit museums in his free time. Several assistive devices are available in the home.

As a personal assistant with us, you play a crucial role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our client. You will be an important part of their life and contribute to their independence and well-being.

We consider it vital that you are active, creative, and driven in your work. You need to have an understanding of and the willingness to learn about the care needs of this client, as well as the ability to understand how and why different tasks are performed. You should have no problem working in and contributing to a team. In our client's home, great importance is placed on your social skills and sensitivity. Personal maturity and being unpretentious are central to this role.

In addition to the above, we believe that you applying for this position are responsible, perceptive, flexible, positive, organized, open, solution-oriented, and cooperative. Your personal qualities are decisive for this position, and the most important thing is that there is personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This will be decisive in the final selection.

Requirements include:

• Not being allergic or afraid of dogs,
• Fluent proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written,
• Ability to handle heavy lifting and various types of transfers,
• Ability to travel for work and be away for a few days,
• Understanding of care work and nursing needs,
• Ability to work all shifts throughout the day,
• Flexibility as a person and willingness to learn the specific work for this client,
• Being unpretentious and experienced in working in teams.

It is an advantage if you:

• Hold a B-driver's license and have access to a car,
• Have previously worked as a personal assistant, in healthcare, and/or childcare,
• View this work from a long-term perspective.

Scope: 1 position at approx. 80%, 1 position for extra/on-call work. Number of positions: 2. Start date: Immediately, by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the positions will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

From March 1, 2026, new regulations apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register.
