Skyddsvärnet took over the operation of Piletorp from January 2, 2026. We are looking for you who have experience in social work and want to contribute to creating safety and support for people in vulnerable situations.

About the operations

Piletorp is an emergency shelter for adults with psychosocial problems, substance abuse and/or mental illness. There are 22 places for men and 4 for women. Our mission is to offer safety and individual support in everyday life – and in contact with healthcare, authorities and other societal actors.

We work in a social-pedagogical manner with a focus on respect, participation and people's own resources.

Skyddsvärnet – anno 1910 is a non-profit organization founded in 1910. We prevent social exclusion and create better conditions for people in society. We belong to the non-profit sector and are non-partisan and non-religious.

Your role as casual staff

As casual staff, you step in as needed – for example, in case of illness, vacation or work peaks. You become an important part of the team and contribute to creating safety and structure for our residents. We see that you can work this summer.

Duties may include:

• Housing support conversations and practical support
• Contact with social services and other actors
• Cooking and simpler household chores
• Cleaning and administrative tasks
• Quality work based on the organization's goals and values

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have education or experience in, for example:

• Social pedagogy
• Treatment work
• Psychiatry or addiction care

You have good social competence, are confident in yourself and have a respectful approach. You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good computer skills.

Personal qualities

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. You are:

• Responsible and proactive
• Independent but team-oriented
• Committed to creating safety and participation

Working hours

Day/evening/on-call duty.

You need to be able to work on-call duty.
