Do you want to work in a dynamic and high-tech environment where you can combine operational and strategic purchasing? We are now looking for a driven and communicative Junior Strategic Buyer to join a growing procurement team in Gothenburg.

In this role, you will become an important part of a purchasing team working with both strategic and operational purchasing issues within technical categories. You will work closely with suppliers, production, planning, and project organization to ensure efficient material flows and high delivery precision.

About the role

As a Junior Strategic Buyer, you will be responsible for both tactical and operational purchasing activities. You will actively work with order placement, delivery monitoring, and supplier follow-up while contributing to strategic initiatives related to supplier development and sourcing.

Main responsibilities

Your tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Purchasing of materials and services based on planned needs
• Order placement and delivery follow-up
• Handling supplier invoices
• Ongoing communication with internal stakeholders
• Supplier relationships and follow-up
• Optimization of material flows
• KPI monitoring together with suppliers
• RFQ work (request for quotation and evaluation)
• Supplier approvals
• Drive and develop consignment solutions with suppliers

The role places high demands on quality, flexibility, collaboration, and the ability to act quickly in a changing environment.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has at least 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain on a full-time basis
• Has post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
• Has experience in operational or tactical purchasing
• Thrives in a production-oriented environment with a high pace
• Has a good understanding of purchasing processes and supply chain flows
• Is self-motivated and works proactively to ensure high delivery precision

As a person, you are solution-oriented, unpretentious, and responsible. You are communicative, driving, and have an easy time collaborating with different functions and external suppliers. You also feel confident working in an organization undergoing change where not all processes and interfaces are fully defined.
