The Home Care Team at Älvsjö Health Centre is looking for a District Nurse!

We are looking for you who want to become part of our team, consisting of five district nurses/nurses, most with extensive experience from home care. The team also includes a general practitioner working full-time and nine nursing assistants. Today, we are a well-functioning group with well-established routines, now seeking a colleague with as much interest as we have in developing and strengthening patient safety, as well as providing good care at home based on current guidelines and evidence-based knowledge.

You should feel confident in your professional role as a district nurse/nurse, where experience in home care is highly meritorious.

Currently, we have approximately 180 patients registered in home care, divided into five different areas with one nurse/district nurse responsible for each area. We document in Take Care.

Our goal is to provide the best possible care for our patients in their homes, while continuously increasing our knowledge as a team to improve the working environment.

Älvsjö Health Centre is centrally located in Älvsjö, a major hub for public transport in south Stockholm. Parking is also available about a 5-minute walk from the health centre.

Job Responsibilities

Standard duties for a district nurse/nurse within home care.

Qualifications

Licensed nurse with further education in primary healthcare, with experience or interest in home care. Alternatively, experience from geriatric care. A driver's license and driving experience, as well as cycling experience, are required.

Personal Attributes

You are meticulous, have good collaboration skills, can work flexibly, and have commitment and a good sense of humor! You are not afraid to work independently.

Employment Type

Fixed-term contract for one year, starting as agreed.

The position will be filled subject to it not being needed for internal reassignment, according to current regulations.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Council (SLSO):

  • A register check is applied before the decision on employment according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for register checks upon employment.
  • Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
  • In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
