Act as Occupational Therapist at Furuhöjden Rehabilitation

About the role

In this role, you will primarily work on our surgery and thorax department, but the role also includes work on our neurological and orthopedic departments as needed.

In your work, you assess the patient's functional and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) abilities and plan an individual rehabilitation plan for the stay together with the guest. You train and guide our patients, both individually and in groups, and also take responsibility for planning discharge after inpatient rehabilitation. Duties also include prescribing assistive devices, contacting external parties, documentation, and writing various certificates.

About you

We are looking for you who are a licensed Occupational Therapist; experience with rehabilitation on a ward is meritorious. You enjoy taking responsibility and contributing to the whole, and you are happy to bring thoughts and ideas on how the work can be developed and improved. Furthermore, we wish for you to enjoy working in a team regarding the patient/guest, but also to be secure in your professional role and able to work independently when needed. Having a positive attitude and being solution-oriented is of great importance to us.

Requirements:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist
• Work experience within the profession
• Knowledge of LifeCare and experience in social planning

Meritorious:

• Previous experience within medical and surgical rehabilitation
• Experience within orthopedic rehabilitation
• Further education within rehabilitation (surgery, orthopedics, neurology)
• Further education – Hand therapy
• Experience with TakeCare

Furuhöjden Rehabilitation is one of the largest healthcare providers within inpatient rehabilitation after acute care in Region Stockholm. We have recently started specialized neurological rehabilitation after care at acute hospitals and have previously had agreements with Region Stockholm within orthopedics, thoracic surgery, general surgery, and neurology.

Conditions

We have collective agreements through Almega/Healthcare Employers and apply individual salary setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you work primarily on weekdays, Monday-Friday. The position is a one-year substitute position related to parental leave. The employment level for the role is 80%. We also offer a wellness allowance of 5000 SEK per year, as well as a pension plan.

Selection and interviews take place continuously, and the desired start date for the role is in August. We conduct register checks in connection with this appointment.
