Your workplace

Vårdcentralen Gripen is located centrally in Karlstad, just a few steps from the Klarälven river, the Värmland Museum, and the lush museum park. With approximately 19,500 registered patients and over 50 dedicated employees, we are Värmland's largest primary healthcare center, yet our atmosphere remains personal, welcoming, and characterized by collaboration.

For a longer period, Gripen has experienced understaffing on the physician side, but we are now moving towards a more stable future. Our medical team consists of 13 doctors, eight specialists in general practice, and five resident doctors (ST-läkare), where the breadth of experience, competence, and commitment creates both security and development potential. Here, you have significant influence over your own schedule, and our open phone hours give you good opportunities to plan and prioritize your work yourself.

As a specialist with us, supervision of AT (internship), ST (residency) doctors, and medical students is included, and if you wish to conduct your own research, there is an opportunity to do so.

Your responsibilities

As a doctor at Gripen, you will have a varied and stimulating job involving:

• Scheduled consultations and acute patient cases.
• Active participation in operational development with a focus on accessibility, patient safety, and quality.
• Shared side assignments, such as responsibility for SÄBO (care for people with intellectual disabilities) or work at the midwife clinic, which are distributed within the medical team.
• We work purposefully with continuity and fixed doctor-patient contact, and offer good opportunities for competence development, including joint referral reviews and an academic meeting every week.
• Certain on-call and standby duties.

We also have well-developed multiprofessional teams: social workers, psychologists, district nurses with various specialist competencies, podiatrists, nursing assistants, and healthcare administrators. We also have pharmacists and close cooperation with assistance assessors from Karlstad Municipality. Our premises also house physiotherapy and occupational therapy clinics.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a licensed physician and specialist in general practice.
• Have the eligibility to work within the Swedish healthcare system.
• Want to contribute to driving our operations forward, whether you are a new specialist or have long experience.

As a person, you are responsible, structured, and confident in your interactions. You enjoy working with people, collaborating in teams, and building good patient relationships. You consider the best interests of the operation in decisions and have good judgment, knowing what you prioritize.
