Ward 3 is now looking for a Clinical Quality Nurse. If you enjoy driving quality development on a ward and want to develop in your role as a specialist nurse, you should apply to us. As a Clinical Quality Nurse, you combine clinical work on the ward with more administrative tasks. The administrative work may consist of working with routines, development work, and patient safety. It is a relatively free role while you work on behalf of the unit manager. You are part of a network with other Clinical Quality Nurses within psychiatry. You work in close collaboration with the unit manager and deputy unit manager. You also work in a team with other nurses, nursing assistants, counselors/discharge coordinators, and doctors. You will have the opportunity to mentor new and existing colleagues. Your primary employment will be as a specialist nurse on the ward, with the assignment as a Clinical Quality Nurse lasting for 2 years.
Ward 3 is a general psychiatric ward within psychiatry with the highest level of care. There are 10 care beds on the ward, of which 4 are acute care beds for patients with particularly high care needs. We admit patients with, among other things, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, crisis, personality disorders, and neuropsychiatric conditions. The focus is on psychiatric nursing, but we also care for concurrent somatic conditions. We have close collaboration with other wards in the building as well as outpatient care to ensure patient safety when discharged from the ward. We work with the Safewards model on the ward.
Job ResponsibilitiesQuality development of clinical work and coordination between different operations regarding patient flows and care processes. The Clinical Quality Nurse acts as a support to the unit manager in nursing and patient safety issues. You will work with changes and develop the operations with a strong focus on psychiatric nursing, mentoring, education, and supporting colleagues. Here you have the opportunity to realize your development visions with good support from the unit manager. You will also be part of a network with other Clinical Quality Nurses in inpatient care to collaborate and work on overarching common routines and working methods.
The clinical tasks include psychiatric nursing, patient work, and usual nursing duties. Contact with relatives, supportive conversations, and motivational interviewing. Participating in rounds together with doctors and discharge coordinators. Medication management and administration. Conducting suicide risk assessments and assessments regarding both psychiatric well-being and somatic health. You should be able to lead your colleagues.
QualificationsYou are a registered nurse with specialist education in psychiatric care, or a nurse undergoing specialist education in psychiatric care, with at least five years of professional experience, mentor education, good knowledge of the operations, and good pedagogical skills.
An interest in the whole person. You have good self-awareness and are confident as a person and in your role as a specialist nurse. You are a positive person who likes to develop yourself and work together in teams to develop the entire operation. You should have a strong interest in working with patient safety, quality development, and an interest in developing psychiatric nursing. You like to work close to the patient, have good ability to support and lead your colleagues, and work closely with your unit manager. You should also be responsive and flexible. You should have good pedagogical skills.

About the position:Full-time. Weekend work is desirable, 1 weekend every 6th week during the period of the assignment as a quality nurse. If you have your own preferences, we are open to discussing this.

About the operationsThe inpatient care of General Psychiatry is part of the General Psychiatry operational area. Our care wards are located adjacent to the University Hospital in Örebro. On the care wards, we have an extra focus on developing the content of care according to the Safewards method. Access to peer support and care beds for user-led admissions is available on some of our wards. Collaboration with our Specialist Psychiatric Nursing Teams (SPOT) is an important part of our work. Together we work with common processes and goals. We work in multidisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of the human being and adapt care interventions to the patient's needs and conditions. We work to promote the involvement of relatives in care.
