Job Description

We are now looking for an Electronic Design Engineer for our client in Kista!

In this role, you will be the sole electrical and electronics engineer in a product development team of approximately 20 people, consisting of embedded software developers, mechanical engineers, as well as specialists in algorithm development and measurement technology.

The assignment covers both the development of new boards and systems as well as product maintenance, with a strong emphasis on ensuring long-term manufacturability and robustness of existing and new products.

The assignment is for 6 months with immediate start. Employment after 6 months with the client may be possible if all parties agree.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout, and board assembly of new circuit boards – from component selection to a working prototype.
• Updating existing boards to ensure continuous manufacturability of our circuit boards in production.
• Updating and identifying other electrical components such as pumps and motors to ensure continuous manufacturability of our products in production.
• Troubleshoot electromechanical systems at the system level, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
• Create wiring diagrams and build prototype cables.
• Act as fourth-line support for hardware issues escalated from customers or internal teams.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you are curious, open-minded, and comfortable moving from theoretical concepts to practical implementation. You are not afraid to step outside your primary area of expertise and continuously re-evaluate your own ideas to ensure that pragmatic, "good enough" solutions reach the market.

Experience – Minimum Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in circuit board design and layout in product development contexts.
• Experience in practical troubleshooting of electromechanical systems.
• Experience with products falling under the Machinery or Low Voltage Directive.
• Experience using orCAD.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some knowledge of C programming.
• Experience with RF components.
• Some experience in the pulp and paper industry.
• Fluent Swedish.
