Aston Harald Mekaniska Verkstad is growing, and we are now looking for a Production Engineer who wants to take an active role in our industrialization and continued development.

About the role

As a Production Engineer here, you work broadly within the organization, collaborating with estimators, production technicians, production departments, as well as contract and marketing functions. You play a key part in ensuring that new and existing products have the right conditions for production.

Our organization is relatively young. Much has been built by skilled individuals – but far from everything is finished. There is room (and a need) to identify gaps, take initiative, and establish structure.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Drive estimation and industrialization activities related to new products, business opportunities, and investments – from idea to functioning production.
• Further develop production estimation in Monitor G5.
• Create, maintain, and manage changes to articles, article structures, and operation lists.
• Develop, document, and update production methods, work instructions, control documents, and templates.
• Support production and machine operators with questions related to machining, methods, and manufacturing flows.
• Conduct root cause analyses and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead development projects within production technology.

You act as an engine in the industrialization work and actively contribute to creating stability, clarity, and quality in our processes.

What you build has direct impact on production.

We believe you have

• a technical education in production technology, mechanics, or equivalent experience.
• experience from manufacturing, preferably in machining or assembly.
• experience working in business systems, preferably Monitor.
• a good understanding of drawings, production flows, and industrialization.

Knowledge in LEAN, method standardization, or industrialization work is a plus.

We prefer that you have previously worked in manufacturing companies, preferably with customers in defense, aerospace, or the automotive industry.
