The position is located within the Social Services Department, which works to offer the residents of Gnesta Municipality good and accessible services based on individual needs. We are responsible for the municipality's care for individuals and families, the elderly, persons with disabilities, municipal healthcare, as well as employment, integration, and adult education. The department operates on behalf of the Social Board.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for more assistant nurses/care assistants for hourly positions at Home Care Gnesta Landet, who, together with us, want to provide our care recipients in the elderly care sector with the best possible care and support.

Working in home care means that you support and help the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, shopping, escorting to appointments such as doctor visits, social documentation, and more.

You also perform healthcare tasks after instruction and delegation from a nurse, such as administering insulin and medication. As an assistant nurse/care assistant in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

Working hours are varied and may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends. There is often a need to fill shifts with short notice, and as an hourly substitute, you will be a highly valued and appreciated asset.

Qualifications

We value suitable care training, preferably as an assistant nurse. You need to have a good manner of dealing with people, the ability to give support and help, and be genuinely thoughtful, engaged, and responsible in your work.

You must be at least 18 years old and possess good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing. Since social documentation is done digitally, computer literacy and the ability to handle digital tools are also necessary.

As Home Care Gnesta Landet has many care recipients in the countryside and in the outer areas of Gnesta, a Category B driver's license is necessary, although walking and cycling trips also occur.
