About Murgårdsskolan and Our Operations

In Sandviken's municipal primary schools, we work in a culture where collaboration and systematic quality work go hand in hand. Here, a safe and supportive environment with high expectations is created, giving students good opportunities to reach their goals. Digital development has long been a natural part of our operations, and every student has access to their own computer as support in teaching. Murgårdsskolan is located centrally in Sandviken and is close to everything, including nature. Göransson Arena, Ferrum Arena, and Parkbadet are within walking distance. For the school year 2026/2027, Murgårdsskolan will be a grades 3–9 school, with approximately 300 students in grades 7–9.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you work with planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in grades 7–9, becoming an important part of creating teaching where student development is at the center.

Within the Social Studies (SO) subjects, you work to awaken students' curiosity about humanity, society, and the world around them, both in the past and present. By connecting teaching to current events and students' own experiences, you create conditions for them to develop a critical approach and a deeper understanding of democracy, human rights, and global challenges. As an English teacher, you work to develop students' ability to communicate, understand, and interact with the language in both speech and writing.

You contribute by:

• Creating teaching that starts from students' needs and prerequisites
• Being a clear leader and role model in the classroom
• Building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians
• Actively participating in the school's development work within digitalization, value base, and language development

• Sharing experiences and knowledge in collegial forums
• Working with a solution-focused approach
• Developing teaching together in work teams
• Having a shared responsibility for students' safety and learning

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical insight and understand how students acquire knowledge in different ways. You adapt teaching based on the individual's needs and create conditions for learning. A structured work approach helps you plan and follow up on teaching in a clear and effective manner.

Collaboration is a natural part of everyday life. You work closely with colleagues, share experiences, and contribute to an open climate where teaching is developed together. In a changing school environment, it is also important to be able to absorb new ideas and working methods and to see the possibilities in them. By being development-oriented, you contribute to the school's collective learning.

For the assignment, the following is required:

• Teacher certification with relevant qualification
• Good knowledge of the primary school's steering documents
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing

Good digital competence and experience using digital tools are meritorious.

The position will be filled if necessary decisions are made.
