Job Responsibilities

The role is one of three new key positions that strengthen the IT/OT organization at the combined heat and power plant, where you, together with both new and existing colleagues, will help build, influence, and shape a completely new service.

In the role of Systems Engineer, you work with the development, operation, and maintenance of automation and control systems that are crucial for the production of the combined heat and power plant. The role is both operational and strategic and involves close collaboration with operations, maintenance, and IT to ensure stable and safe production.

Responsibilities include, among other things:

• Develop, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain ABB 800xA, control logic, and automation interfaces.
• Optimize regulation, logic, and operational functions in the production facility.
• Make changes to SCADA graphics, functions, and alarm strategies.
• Participate in upgrades, tests, functional checks, and commissioning.
• Work with industrial networks and OT communication.
• Contribute to improvement and development projects within automation and OT.
• Create and update technical documentation and function descriptions.

Education Requirements

Post-secondary education in automation, electrical power, or a corresponding technical field. Relevant and multi-year practical experience with PLC and SCADA work can replace formal education.

Valid driver's license (Category B)

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

• Knowledge of industrial networks, automation interfaces, and OT communication.
• Experience with ABB 800xA systems.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills in operation-critical environments.

Meritorious Qualifications

• Experience with OT security and working according to relevant standards, such as IEC 62443.
• Experience with upgrades, commissioning, or development projects within automation.
• Experience from the energy sector or other process or manufacturing industries.
• Experience with other SCADA systems and industrial control environments.
