The Swedish Armed Forces Telecommunications and Information Systems Unit (FMTIS) has a consolidated responsibility for the operation, maintenance, and management of command and support systems within the Swedish Armed Forces.
FMTIS operates continuously during peace, crisis, and war, meaning the unit is constantly deployed both nationally and internationally.
The unit has more than 1,800 employees spread across more than 30 locations in the country.
Case Manager for Security-Cleared Procurement and Assistant Signals Security Officer sought for FMTIS Implementation Unit South
You will belong to the Implementation Unit South staff (GE Syd) with a location in Karlskrona.
GE Syd conducts operations that ensure the Swedish Armed Forces' ability to communicate and command, 24/7 - year-round. The unit consists of approximately 190 employees distributed across 7 departments in 6 locations within the Southern Military Region (MR S) area.

Main responsibilities
In accordance with regulatory requirements, FMTIS must conduct security clearance interviews for consultants. Security clearance interviews must also be conducted for new hires and re-evaluations.
- Lead, plan, and conduct security clearance interviews within the unit.
- Administer and document documents related to security clearance interviews, register checks, and secrecy certificates.
- Participate in the unit's work with governing documents and security support materials, and also participate in other various projects regarding security work.
- Be ready to support other units with security clearance interviews.
Process signals security matters for the unit commander and assist the FMTIS Signals Security Officer within your own defined area of responsibility and/or location.
- Assist the unit commander in establishing/revising local signals security organizations and signals security instructions.
- Coordinate the signals security service within the garrison and within FMTIS at the location where appropriate/possible.
- Card administration (TAK and A-cert) + (TEID, B- and C-cert).
- Signals security training, theory, and in some cases system training.
- Administration and ordering of the unit's signals security keys in KapL.
- Internal control of own operations.
- Handle signals security incidents at the unit.
- Responsible for the inventory of the unit's signals security equipment according to current regulations.
- Support internal control of signals security at other FMTIS units.
Your task is to ensure that the unit processes cases within security protection where the authority is obliged to follow the Security Protection Act, the Security Protection Ordinance, and the Swedish Armed Forces' regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- At least a 3-year upper secondary education.
- Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
- For the position, good knowledge of Windows environment (PC proficiency).
- Category B driver's license.

MERITORIOUS
- Previous service in a security position in the Swedish Armed Forces, or another corresponding state operation with tasks related to security clearance.
- Basic military training.
- Experience from state work.
- University or college education with a focus on behavioral science.
Other
Permanent employment as a civilian employee, starting with a 6-month probationary period for those not already employed within the Swedish Armed Forces.
Work location: Karlskrona, but the work involves travel within the country.
Start date: According to agreement.
