EnRival Utbildning is seeking substitutes for healthcare education in Gävle!

Your Role: Substitute Teacher

We run 10 small, staff-intensive healthcare schools with a focus on quality, engagement, and collaboration. The schools offer place-based adult education in healthcare and social care (subject level 1), with a team consisting of vocational teachers, Swedish teachers, trained pedagogues, and language support and special needs educators as needed.

With a teacher-to-student ratio of 5-6 students per educator and motivated students, we expect excellent results.

Substitute Teacher

You will fill gaps during both planned and unplanned absences. With pedagogical skills and initiative, you can temporarily take on the role of teaching adult students based on existing plans.

Teaching experience is your best platform for quickly stepping into the role, particularly experience in adult education. Pedagogical training is your tool for successfully conveying knowledge in your teaching.

The teaching takes place on-site in Gävle, full-time.

Your Competence and Background

We are looking for several different roles. You are welcome to apply if you match at least one of the following options.

• You are a retired teacher who wants to work occasionally. Your years of professional experience provide obvious security in the role, and you know how to capture a group's attention. You know your job.

or

• You are a vocational teacher in Healthcare and Social Care, and have the opportunity to step in for short periods of 1-4 weeks. Perhaps you have a holiday job and want to earn extra, or you work in another field today and miss the teaching aspects.

or

• You have started or completed pedagogical education but lack professional experience, and want to get a foot in the door. You want to gather teaching experience.

or

• You already work as a substitute in adult education, but want to work more. A few weeks here and there, or sometimes just a few days. You are comfortable with the role of substitute teacher.

or

• You have several years of professional experience from healthcare and social care work as a Nursing Assistant or Nurse, and want to share your knowledge with future colleagues.

or

• You have a teaching license for upper secondary school/Adult Education (Komvux) in Swedish (SVE/SVA), and can convey subject knowledge in Swedish in a way that attracts adult students.

or the full package

• You have a teaching license in Healthcare and Social Care, or equivalent documented education.

Added Value

Regardless of your background, you will be of use to us if you meet at least one of the requirements above.

As added value, we highlight experience in adult education, knowledge of non-European languages, licenses in other subjects at the upper secondary/adult education level, and your willingness to step in with short notice.

Documentation and Materials

All pedagogical roles involve documentation and good collaboration with colleagues and authorities. Good digital competence is required in small units that use several digital tools. Teaching materials are available both digitally on It’sLearning and in printed format.

Your Personality

You love helping people, and you are passionate about conveying knowledge. You know how to motivate students to achieve their goals, have good social competence, and a willingness to work in a group. Your flexible approach enables you to solve problems.
