Do you want to contribute to safe and sustainable food production? Apply for the position of Quality Engineer at Lantmännen Cerealia in Järna!
At Lantmännen Cerealia in Järna, as a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in quality work within food production. You will work closely with production to develop working methods, drive improvements, and contribute to high and consistent quality at one of Sweden's most important food producers. Here, you become part of a daily routine with clear goals, hands-on leadership, and great opportunities to make an impact. The culture is characterized by proactiveness, holistic thinking, and openness, where responsibility, engagement, and collaboration are key to success. At Lantmännen, you also become part of one of Sweden's most attractive employers, with operations throughout the entire value chain, from farm to fork. We warmly welcome your application today!
Your employment offer
At Lantmännen Cerealia, you will have an important assignment in an engaged team where quality and safety are clear priorities. You will become an integral part of a values-driven organization that actively works with development, improvements, and learning. The role offers you good opportunities to grow, both within Cerealia and in Lantmännen's larger corporation. With the support of a coaching manager, you will take significant individual responsibility in an independent role where your ideas and initiatives can make a clear difference. Here, proactiveness, holistic thinking, and openness are valued in everyday life, with the goal of creating long-term value for the business.
Your responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, you will:
- Drive quality and food safety work in the team according to HACCP and BRC standards.
- Investigate complaints and internal deviations, lead root cause analyses, and improvement work.
- Manage and develop the management system's routines and standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the contact person for authorities and customers.
- Train and support production staff and leaders in hygiene routines and quality requirements.
- Contribute in areas such as environment, chemicals, and working environment.
- Support anchoring quality routines and working methods in daily production.
The position is close to operations and involves daily presence in production and close collaboration with maintenance, production, and other functions. The work takes place within a BRC-certified operation where you are expected to contribute to maintaining current standards. You work independently in close collaboration with your colleagues in the quality team.
Worth knowing
You will be based at the facility in Järna, Södertälje Municipality, and report to the Quality Manager. You will become part of a team with three quality engineers and collaborate with approximately 100–150 colleagues on site. Working hours are daytime with some flexibility. The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probation period. Since the role is closely linked to daily production, regular presence at the facility is an important part of the assignment. This means that functional daily logistics to Järna is an advantage. As part of the recruitment process, a background check is also conducted. Start date by agreement.
Our expectations
To succeed in the role, you have experience in quality work, preferably from the food or pharmaceutical industry. You have post-secondary education in food science, agronomy, or natural sciences, or equivalent work experience, and have worked practically with quality management systems, such as BRC or similar. Experience with HACCP principles is an advantage.
You have fluent command of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
We believe that you thrive in a role where you are close to operations and get to combine analysis with practical problem-solving. You are pedagogical, enjoy collaborating, and have a good ability to translate requirements into clear and functional working methods. All to contribute to a safe and quality-assured production!
